The following hardware and software requirements provide a general guideline for your information. Additional requirements may be necessary depending upon your specific software application purchase.

  • Accounting and management products on a server or stand-alone computer: 2 GB available disk space.*
  • Accounting and management products on a workstation: 295 MB available disk space (this assumes a server hosts accounting and management data).¹
  • Estimating products on a server, workstation, or stand-alone computer: 260 MB available disk space.*

  • SAP® Crystal Reports Professional or SAP Crystal Reports for Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate (required to modify or create Crystal Reports designs)

  • SVGA monitor (1024 x 768 pixels recommended)
  • Scanner that is TWAIN compliant (required to scan documents with Document Management)
  • USB port at server for USB security key (required for Document Management)
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 (Service Pack 1 or later)
  • Microsoft Outlook 2003 SP3, 2007 SP2, and 32-bit version of 2010 (required to use email features)
  • Printer (Microsoft Certified printer driver is recommended)
  • Microsoft Office 2003 SP3 or later (Microsoft Office is required to use Project Management Correspondence Log features and for importing Sage 300 data into Microsoft Excel or Microsoft Query; Sage 300 is not compatible with 64-bit Microsoft Office 2010)

Digitizers

  • GTCO Wintab digitizer driver software (supplied by your digitizer manufacturer)
  • USB port or digitizing tablet connected to RS-232 serial port configured as COM1 or COM2

Sentinel Protection Device

Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate supports Sentinel SuperPro protection devices.

Supported Protocols

  • TCP/IP: Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol. Microsoft servers default to this protocol
  • RDP 6.1: Remote Display Protocol. Microsoft remote protocol, which is used in its remote connection applications
  • ICA: Independent Computing Architecture. Citrix remote protocol, which is used in its remote connection application
  • SMTP: Email protocol used in Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate applications such as Document Management and Sage Installation Manager

Sage and Third-Party Applications Not Compatible with 64-Bit Operating Systems:

  • Sage Master Builder 13.3 and earlier
  • Primavera Project Planner (P3) 3.1 and earlier

Third Party Not Compatible With Microsoft Server 2008

  • GTCO TabletWorks 10.08 driver
  • Sage Master Builder v13.3
  • Cut & Fill 5.23.0
  • Primavera Project Planner (P3) 3.0

Important Note:

Sage 300, Sage 50 and Sage 300 ERP (formerly Sage Timberline Office, Peachtree for Sage and Sage Accpac) cannot be installed on the same computer as they use different versions of Pervasive that are not compatible. Contact your business partner or support professional for Terminal Services solution.

*Add up to 400 MB for required third-party components, which Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate installs as necessary.
