The Rasmuson Foundation, a private organization that is actively working to improve the quality of life for individuals in Alaska, recently announced it will grant
$8.5 million to arts programs throughout the next four years. This will continue the foundation's ongoing efforts in the area, bringing total investments in arts programs over the past 10 years up to $22 million, including financial support for schools, collaborative work, community organizations, individuals and national initiatives.
This round of grantmaking includes the Harper Arts Touring Program, which brings high-quality programs to communities through exhibits and performances; Arts in Education, a program that provide new curriculum and activities to rural schools and other programs as well as the Arts Acquisition Fund and the Individual Artist Awards.
Alaskans who make a living producing art can apply for grant opportunities through the foundation, which anticipates giving away 30 this year.
Individuals, programs and organizations that rely on fundraising to fuel their work might find nonprofit
fundraising software advantageous. The solutions can facilitate the process of identifying grant opportunities to improve their chances of securing funds.
