RSA Media recently announced that it would provide $2 million worth of prime billboard ad space to the Greater Boston Food Bank (GBFB). To support the food bank in its fight against hunger, RSA Media donated ad space it considered to be in the most valuable locations it possesses - major thoroughfares in the Boston metro area.

"RSA Media is a great fit for us," said GBFB chief financial officer David S. Noymer. "As Boston's largest, locally owned billboard company, they will enable us to get the maximum value from our billboard unit while also playing a key role in helping the Greater Boston Food Bank end hunger in our community."

GBFB is still developing the marketing messages for the donated ad space, according to RSA Media. As soon as they are completed, the messages will go up on six billboards including the neighborhoods near Gillette Stadium, the Southeast Expressway in Dorchester, the Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway in Boston and I-93 in Braintree.

Companies that are giving away a product or service in place of a grant or dollar donation could benefit from nonprofit financial management. With the software, businesses can be sure charitable donations are being properly accounted for.
