Numerous foundations and nonprofits have been donating their time, effort and money to educating the youth of America. In the last year alone, The Eli and Edythe Broad Foundation awarded almost $20 million to various nonprofit organizations that have vowed to make learning easier through blended educational opportunities. Throughout the group's lifecycle, however, approximately $23 million in awards have been given.

Recently, the group gave $10 million to the Michigan Education Excellence Foundation, which helps students in the state's lowest achieving schools develop better  teaching styles and embrace new technology. Other sums were awarded to Khan Academy, Foundation for Excellence in Educations and the Alliance for College-Ready Public Schools, among many others. These groups have locations throughout the United States, so the Eli and Edythe Broad Foundation is trying to jumpstart learning everywhere.

"We know of no better way to amplify the effects of great teachers and engage students and parents to become active partners in their own school experience," noted Eli and Edythe Broad Foundation director Luis de la Fuente.

The Broad Foundations not only has a basis in education, but also hopes to help groups interested in finding new scientific and medical advances, as well as those that support the arts and local civil initiatives. 

Organizations that are providing funds for multiple nonprofit programs might find it easier to manage their large-scale efforts with fundraising management programs that can account for funds as they are disbursed to recipients.
