The Children's Hospital of Orange County (CHOC Children's) recently received a $27 million gift from local businessman, Bill Holmes. The funds will advance the hospital's "Change CHOC, Change the World" campaign, including its new seven-story, 450,000-square-foot tower which will be named in honor of the retired Newport Beach resident.

The Bill Holmes Tower will be dedicated to children's medicine. It includes a pediatric-only emergency department - the only one in the county - as well as pediatric staff and environments. The advanced operating rooms, pathology and imaging services and laboratories all feature leading designs and amenities to promote healing and create child and family friendly spaces.

"We are grateful to Bill Holmes for this legacy gift and his tremendous investment in pediatric healthcare," said Graig Eastin , vice president of CHOC Children's Foundation.

"His generous donation will help us usher in a new era at CHOC; one that truly transforms pediatric medicine, making children's futures brighter than ever," added CHOC Children's president and CEO Kim Cripe.

Individuals and organizations that rely on fundraising to fuel new projects might find nonprofit fundraising software advantageous. The solutions can facilitate the process of identifying grant opportunities, generate reports that demonstrate current financial need and showcase previous achievements.
