New Sage 100 Contractor Integration with Sage Construction Anywhere Closes the Gap Between the Office and the Field
The cloud-based solution provides anytime, anywhere project information access, connecting office and field staff and moving projects forward
IRVINE, Calif. (June 10, 2013) – Sage North America announced that its construction-specific cloud-based solution, Sage Construction Anywhere, now integrates with Sage 100 Contractor (formerly Sage Master Builder), a construction accounting and management solution currently used by thousands of contractors to more tightly manage business operations. This integration provides companies using Sage 100 with new mobility – office and field staff are better connected, ensuring that everyone has the project information they need, when and where they need it, to move projects forward and make well-informed decisions.
Sage Construction Anywhere provides companies the ability to automate time collection and approval in order to speed up payroll and job costing processes, and provides earlier visibility to labor cost issues at the site before they damage profits. Field staff and supervisors can easily submit, review and approve time worked using an easy-to-use mobile "app" on their iOS or Android smartphone or tablet.
"Mobile time collection was a big priority for us," said Joselin Martin, CPA, CCIFP, financial manager at Hayles and Howe, Inc., an ornamental plaster company in Baltimore, MD. "Our supervisors are currently sending in spreadsheets to report time and one even still faxes in timesheets that have to be manually entered. After testing the solution we saw how automating this process will save accounting staff time, reduce room for error, and free up resources to focus on higher-valued projects. We knew we needed to adopt it right away."
Project teams can also easily share, store and access documents, drawings, photos and more online. Sage Construction Anywhere provides one central hub for all project members to access, so everyone can be certain they are reviewing the most up-to-date project details. Field staff can easily pull up project drawings or photos on their mobile devices to ensure they have the information needed to perform work correctly the first time—minimizing the risk of project delays or additional costs due to re-work.
Sage Construction Anywhere also provides company management with anytime, anywhere access to key Sage 100 Contractor reports. With 24/7, self-serve access to reporting, executives can ensure they always know what’s happening on any given project or areas of their business that need closer attention.
"With executives and project managers working remotely, we instantly saw the value of self-serve, mobile access to the most current project information available at any time of the day," adds Martin. "Decision-makers will no longer have to wait for the information they need. Everyone from owners to site supervisors can have real-time access to the information they need to work more effectively on critical projects."
Sold on a subscription basis, Sage Construction Anywhere provides companies of all sizes an affordable way to advance their use of technology from the office to the field. Sage Construction Anywhere also integrates with Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate (formerly Sage Timberline Office) and was named as a 2013 Constructech Top Product for residential and commercial contractors.
