Sage Payment Solutions Executives to Share Payments Industry Expertise at the CPI North American Middle Market Conference 2012

MCLEAN, Va. (November 7, 2012) – Sage North America today announced that David Tvrdy and Don Weary, product marketing director and vice president of product management, respectively, of its Sage Payment Solutions division, will present an educational session at the inaugural Commercial Payments International (CPI) North American Middle Market Conference 2012, being held tomorrow in Chicago at the Conrad Chicago. With the tagline, “Seize the Massive Opportunity,” the conference provides a venue for payments service providers and payments industry vendors to share insights and focus on the opportunities and challenges presented by the middle market segment.

During their session, titled “Avoiding Pitfalls and Recognizing Opportunities That Will Help Grow Your Business,” Tvrdy and Weary will discuss the paradigm shift within the payments industry, including the next generation of payments integration with accounting and mid-market enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. They will also discuss how mobile payments play an important role in this new world of payments processing.

Tvrdy has more than 20 years of experience in payments, banking and business software. As a product marketing director for Sage Payment Solutions, Tvrdy is responsible for managing all go-to-market launch activities, internal and external messaging and positioning, and strategy for the future direction of the Sage payments products and solutions. Prior to joining Sage, he served as a senior product manager at Dallas, Texas-based ProfitStars, a Jack Henry company, as well as a product manager at Information Technology, Inc. (ITI) in St. Louis, Mo. Tvrdy earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln, Neb.

Weary has 20 years of product management experience in the accounting and ERP software industry. As vice president of product management for Sage Payment Solutions, he is responsible for guiding the company’s overall payments product and service strategy. He focuses on driving consistency and innovation to meet the growing payment needs of small and midsized businesses and organizations. Prior to joining Sage, Weary worked at eCommerce Industries, Inc., an $80 million developer of industry-specific, enterprise resource planning (ERP), business management and e-commerce systems software for midsized companies. He also previously ran management consultation practices for both Siemens Business Systems and KPMG Consulting. Weary earned a Bachelor of Science in Systems Analysis from Miami University and was a captain in the United States Air Force.
