Sage Chosen as One of the Best Companies to Work for in Texas for Third Consecutive Year
AUSTIN, TX (Feb. 15, 2012)—Sage North America today announced it was named one of the Best Companies to Work for in Texas 2012. This is the third consecutive year Sage has been recognized with this honor, which was created in 2006 and designed to identify, recognize, and honor the best places of employment in Texas, benefiting the state's economy, its workforce, and businesses. The Best Companies to Work for in Texas 2012 list is made up of 100 companies.
Sage North America helps more than 32,000 unique not-for-profits in the U.S. and Canada increase efficiency and more easily manage their operations through the use of technology. Sage was recognized and honored at the Best Companies to Work for in Texas awards ceremony on Thursday, February 2, as part of the TAB 2012 Annual Conference in Austin, Texas. The rankings will also be released in a special advertising section of the February 20112 issue of Texas Monthly.
The statewide Best Companies to Work for in Texas survey and awards program is a project of Texas Monthly magazine, the Texas Association of Business (TAB), the Texas State Council of the Society for Human Resource Management (TSC-SHRM), and Best Companies Group.
To be considered for Best Companies to Work for in Texas participation, companies had to fulfill the following eligibility requirements:
- Have at least 15 employees working in Texas;
- Be a for-profit or not-for-profit business or government entity;
- Be a publicly or privately held business;
- Have a facility in the state of Texas; and
- Must be in business a minimum of one year.
Companies from across the state entered the annual competition. The two-part process to determine the Best Companies to Work for in Texas consisted of a simple yet thorough company assessment designed to gather detailed data about each participating company. In part one, the employer completed a questionnaire and in part two, employees of the company completed an employee survey.
The collected information from the two instruments will be combined to produce a detailed set of data enabling the analysts to determine the strengths and opportunities of the participating companies. The workplaces are ranked based on this data and then the Employee Feedback Reports are returned to each participating company.
