Sage selects Version One’s electronic document management (EDM) as a global solution of choice for Sage ERP X3, offering greater efficiencies and cost savings for midmarket enterprises
LONDON (May 26, 2011)—Sage (LSE: SGE), a leading business management software provider, is today announcing a global original equipment manufacturer (OEM) agreement with Version One, the author of electronic document management solutions, to jointly introduce Sage ERP X3 EDM. Under the new agreement, customers of Sage’s global ERP solution for the mid market, Sage ERP X3, will have the option to integrate Version One’s advanced document management solution into their system, providing both the cost savings and greater efficiencies related to electronic document management.
Sage ERP X3 EDM will enable users to seamlessly and securely archive, retrieve and process business documents such as invoices and other external supplier documents directly from the Sage ERP X3 system. This will significantly reduce the circulation, filing, management and processing of physical documents – saving businesses time and reducing the costs and environmental impact of printing and storing paper documents.
The system is highly secure, providing authorised access within the enterprise to organise, store, access, comment on and distribute appropriate corporate information. Easy to use search criteria within the Sage ERP X3 application user interface, greatly simplifies access to important information and eliminates the risk of mislaying or incorrectly filing documents. As the documents are stored electronically, copies can be kept at different locations for total security - something not achievable with a traditional paper archiving system.
Sage ERP X3 EDM will be rapid to deploy on both existing Sage ERP X3 implementations and for new customers wishing to include this functionality from day one.
The OEM agreement is an extension of an already strong alliance between the two companies which has seen Version One’s technology included in Sage’s industry leading business software solutions such as Sage ERP AccPac, Sage ERP MAS and Sage 1000. For Version One, the agreement supports its international business expansion plans.
