Sage Offers Sage Simply Accounting Software to U.S. and Canadian Nonprofits through TechSoup
English-Spanish and English-French versions now available through the nonprofit product donation service
IRVINE, CA (Mar. 31, 2010)—Sage North America today announced that Sage Simply Accounting Pro 2011 software is now available for nonprofit organizations and public libraries through TechSoup Global, a recognized leader in bringing technological empowerment and philanthropy to social benefit organizations. Through the TechSoup nonprofit product donation service, which gives qualifying charities access to donated and discounted technology products, the bilingual English-Spanish version of Sage Simply Accounting Pro is available to U.S. organizations while the bilingual English-French version is available to Canadian organizations.
“Sage Simply Accounting was designed for the non-accountant, which is ideal for nonprofit organizations where team members often handle multiple responsibilities, including bookkeeping, in which they may not have the experience and are learning on the fly,” said Jamie Sutherland, vice president and general manager for Sage Simply Accounting. “The easy-to-learn approach we’ve taken allows nonprofit organizations to get the accuracy, control and information they need so they can focus more time on executing their fundraising strategies and running their operations efficiently.”
The fully bilingual English-French Sage Simply Accounting is the most recommended small business accounting software in Canada and is the only accounting software in the U.S. market that is completely bilingual in Spanish and English. Sage Simply Accounting allows nonprofit organizations using the solution to toggle and create reports between the two languages in real time.
“Adding English-Spanish Sage Simply Accounting to our portfolio provides an easy to use accounting option for nonprofit organizations—particularly those that serve the more than 35 million people in the United States who speak Spanish as a primary language at home,” said Gayle Carpentier, Chief Business Development Officer, TechSoup Global.
Sage North America launched its philanthropic program in partnership with TechSoup Global in 2008. To date, Sage has donated more than more than 1,800 single-user licenses to U.S. and Canadian nonprofit organizations through the program, which includes multiple Sage products, solutions and services to fill a variety of needs for nonprofits:
Organizations receiving products from TechSoup’s donation service pay a small administrative fee to cover operational costs, the verification and reporting of the organization’s eligibility, and the fostering of content and community to support the effective use of the technology products.
Celebrating 25 years, Sage Simply Accounting software is the #1 choice of Canadian small businesses and accountants, used by more than 500,000 businesses¹. Developed in Sage's global research and development center in Richmond, B.C., the fully bilingual Sage Simply Accounting—English/French—is known for its easy to learn, easy to use approach to accounting, while providing the most comprehensive features that small businesses require—from start-up through to maturity.
