Can unlimited vacation days work at the firm?

Construction management software can help firms keep track of their employees and help them stay on task. But while these software solutions make it easier to handle the business side of construction companies, it is up to human resources professionals and the executive team to focus on keeping staff members happy and getting top talent to join the enterprise. One interesting option that many firms have begun trying is allowing their workforce unlimited vacation days.
Does this policy fit with your company?
Telecommuting and "bring your own device" policies have already provided some work flexibility to some employees, and allowing staff members to take time off whenever they want could provide other benefits. However, Christina Gomez, a partner with the law firm Holland & Hart, told BusinessNewsDaliy, this structure will only work at certain enterprises.
"The size of the company is not as important as other things, like whether this kind of policy fits with the culture of the company, whether the nature of people's jobs in the company lends itself to this kind of policy, and, when this kind of policy is paired with a flex time or telecommuting policy, whether employees need to be in the office collaborating on their work or whether they can do their work elsewhere on their own time," Gomez told BusinessNewsDaily.
While many construction companies may not have the work structure for these types of polices, an article for LinkedIn revealed unlimited vacations time could be a recruiting perk and lead to more productive employees. One of the main advantages these initiatives could provide is that staff members won't feel like their bosses and members of the C-suite have more flexibility with vacation than they do. Happier employees could often lead to higher levels of engagement in the workplace.
