Can I convert from Quicken® or QuickBooks?

Sage 50 Accounting 2014 offers an easy conversion wizard only for QuickBooks* to walk you through the steps, allowing you to get up and running in no time. Sage 50 supports conversions from QuickBooks 2011 – 2013 Pro through Enterprise. There is no conversion wizard for Quicken, but you can convert manually by exporting data from Quicken and importing it to Sage 50.

To ensure continuous service, your Sage Business Care plan is an automatically renewing plan and subsequent years will be automatically billed to the same credit card each year on the anniversary date of your purchase at the then current rate after notifying you 30 days in advance of your anniversary date. You may terminate the plan with at least seven calendar days notice prior to your renewal date and not be charged for the renewal.

How does Sage 50 Accounting 2014 limit credit card fraud exposure?

Sage 50 Accounting 2014 includes Sage Exchange, a PA-DSS compliant solution, for storage of credit card information. Internet access is required. Help your business become PCI-DSS compliant by using Sage Payment Solutions to process credit cards.

Once I have Sage 50 Accounting 2014, how do I know what features are available and how to use them?

Our "What's New in Sage 50" screens will walk you through all the new features in Sage 50 Accounting 2014, plus tell you how to use them. This feature automatically displays when you first launch the product, and also has a link in the Help file so you can access it whenever you need it.

How many companies can I consolidate?

Provided that your companies have the same chart of account IDs, Sage 50 allows you to run up to 20 customized Financial Statements in consolidated format.

Support Questions:

I work a lot with Microsoft® Excel®. Does Sage offer any support for this?

Yes, with Sage Business Care, Sage will assist you with the management of your Sage 50 data in current releases of Microsoft Excel.

Does Sage 50 support Windows® 8?

Sage 50 Accounting 2014 is Windows 8 compatible. Earlier releases of Sage 50 and Peachtree are not supported on Windows 8.

Does Sage 50 support Windows Server 2008?

Yes, we support Windows Server 2008.

What type of support do I get when I purchase Sage 50 Accounting 2014?

New customers who purchase Sage 50 Pro Accounting 2014, Sage 50 Complete Accounting 2014, or Sage 50 Premium Accounting 2014 receive one year of Sage Business Care Silver1, which includes unlimited access2 to support.

Does Sage 50 support Windows Vista®, Windows 7, and Windows 8 64-bit systems?

Yes, with Peachtree 2007 and higher, the database has been built on Pervasive. Sage 50 Accounting 2014 continues to use Pervasive, so your conversion will be virtually pain-free.

What is the maximum number of users supported by Sage 50?

For our Sage 50 Complete Accounting, Sage 50 Premium Accounting and the Sage 50 industry solutions, you have the option to support up to 5 licensed, named users.* Sage 50 Quantum Accounting 2014 offers you the opportunity to support 5, 10, 15, 20, 30 or even 40 licensed, named users**.

*For multi-user access, you must purchase one single-user box per named user or one Multi-user Edition for up to five licensed, named users. **Multi User licenses available in of packs of 5, 10, 15, 20, 30 or 40. A maximum of 40 licensed, named users is allowed. Only the first 40 named users selected in the user maintenance screen are considered licensed, named users.

How many years will the Multi-Year* Reporting feature go back?

With an upgrade to Sage 50 Accounting 2014 from an earlier product, you will be able to see 'real-time' financial statement information from your current open 2 years plus 1 closed year, all within Sage 50. Once you upgrade to Sage 50 Accounting 2014, your historical information will begin to build year over year. Sage 50 Accounting 2014 and previous versions have no restrictions on how far back you can report for transactional data like sales order reporting, only for financial statements, account balances, and payroll reports.

*Upon upgrading to Sage 50 Accounting 2014, 3 years of converted Sage 50 or Sage Peachtree Financial Statement data and account balance data on General Ledger reports will be readily accessible, as well as data for future closed years.

Within the Multi-Year* reporting feature, will the data being viewed in my closed year be altered?

No, one of the advantages of Sage 50 is that we lock-down all closed year information. This feature will allow you to see the information without concern of changes occurring.

Does Sage 50 offer a Macintosh version?

How can I download my bank statement to Sage 50?

You now have two options in which you can download your bank statement*. You may automatically connect to your bank and import transactions or you can manually import your banking transactions in to Sage 50 so long as they are stored in standard Open Financial Exchange (OFX), QuickBooks QFX, or Microsoft Money format. If you use the automatic import option, you will enter the ID and password issued to you by your bank for access to online bank reconciliation.

How do I activate UPS® shipping?

If you have an existing account with UPS*, you can provide the information during the registration process. All of your negotiated rates and discounts will be honored when you access UPS Online functionality through the Sage 50 application.
