Sure, some startups can survive in their communities without it, but overall, an Internet presence is needed to spread the word about available accounting and bookkeeping services.
It's up to organization leaders to decide which platforms need to be embraced. Facebook still reigns supreme as the most popular platform, but sites like Twitter, LinkedIn and Pinterest, among others, are creeping up and becoming contenders. It all depends on where an individual company's audience is - and the business should embrace that platform for best results.
Finding the right sites to start accounts on is just the first step. Firm owners then have to begin posting regularly or they could become uninteresting to their followers. But many leaders in social media find that there are tricks to deciding when to post. This might not seem to matter much, but following guidance on this issue can make or break promotions on networking sites.
Depends on the site
According to a new infographic from Social Caffeine, the best times to post all depends on the platform in question - they're all different. However, there is a posting sweet spot - a day and time - for nearly every website.
Per networking site examined, the graphic revealed the best days and times are as follows:
• Facebook - Wednesday at 3 p.m.
• Twitter - Monday through Thursday between 1 and 3 p.m.
• LinkedIn - Tuesday through Thursday between either 7 and 9 a.m. or 5 and 6 p.m.
• Pinterest - Saturday mornings, or any day either between 2 and 4 p.m. or 8 p.m. and 1 a.m.
• Google+ - During work hours, but particularly between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.
There are also definitely times executives shouldn't think about posting, mainly in the middle of the night and during weekends for many of these social platforms.
Follow your own readers
It can often be best, however, to post whenever business owners notice that their audience is online. There might be trends on when to post to a site like Facebook. If a certain demographic is on in the middle of the night, why not post then?
MarketingCharts reported that a Socialbakers report revealed the majority of Facebook posts are read within 30 minutes of making their debut online, so accounting and bookkeeping firm owners need to make sure to hit their strides quickly.
