The intuitive touchscreen interface is easy for users to navigate, and because users press commands directly on the screen, the checkout process is quick and efficient. Additionally, because the Point of Sale module includes touchscreen keyboards and keypads, the entire process can take place directly on the screen.
Note: To use the touchscreen functionality, you need a touchscreen monitor. If you don't have a touchscreen monitor, you can still use a standard keyboard and mouse to navigate the interface.

Integrate credit and debit card payments.
In today's retail environment, customers expect the option to pay for goods and services with their credit or debit cards. Save time and ensure transaction accuracy with Sage Exchange Desktop*—which provides integrated credit card and debit card processing directly from within Sage BusinessVision.
Sage Exchange Desktop is a Payment Application Data Security Standard (PA-DSS)-compliant credit card payment application that allows you to manage the credit and debit payment process from within the Sage BusinessVision Point of Sale module. After enabling and configuring credit and debit card processing, select the credit card tender to automatically process credit card or debit card payments from customers. Sage Exchange Desktop initiates the debit or credit process and reports whether the transaction was completed successfully or not. Sage BusinessVision uses this information to complete and post the sale or to notify you that alternative payment is required.
Not only does Sage Exchange reduce the time it takes to process credit or debit cards using nonintegrated solutions, it reduces data-entry errors that can result from manual credit or debit processing.

Keep the checkout line moving.
It happens every day—a customer forgets an item in the store and remembers it during the checkout process. Sage BusinessVision Point of Sale keeps the line moving with a Hold Sale feature that lets you save the current sale in process and move on to the next one. When the original customer returns, simply retrieve the original sale and continue where you left off.
The Reverse Sales process allows you to quickly process returns. Just select the original sales receipt in Sage BusinessVision Point of Sale, press Reverse Sale, and select the items or quantities being returned.

When customers return items to your store, they want the process to be fast and easy. Sage BusinessVision Point of Sale simplifies the return process with the option to Reverse Sales. Easily view your sales history, identify the original sales receipt, and—with a single click—reverse the entire sale. If the customer wants to return only some of the items on the receipt, simply select the items not being returned to remove them from the return process.
The reprint receipt function makes it easier to replace lost customer receipts or reprint a receipt if there are printing problems.
